SUNY Potsdam Assistant Professor in Potsdam, New York
The Teacher Education department within the School of Education and Professional Studies at SUNY Potsdam invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Elementary Education. With a focus on enhancing diversity and equity for all students, this position offers unique opportunities to engage in interdisciplinary and classroom-based teacher education research and pre-service teacher program development. Successful candidate will be responsible for supporting curricula and teaching undergraduate and graduate courses for SUNY Potsdam’s Elementary Education programs during the fall and spring semesters, performing administrative duties, and teaching during the summer. Required qualifications include an earned a doctorate degree in Education or a closely related field from an accredited institution (ABD applicants will be considered); at least three years of successful classroom teaching in a P-6 setting; competence in using a variety of educational technologies, including learning management systems; and ability to conduct research appropriate to the rank of Assistant Professor.
