Old Oaks Country Club Director of Racquet Sports in Purchase, New York

Organize and direct all club tennis, paddle and pickle ball activities, events, exhibitions, tournaments, and lessons. Select, train, supervise and evaluate tennis, paddle, and pickle ball instructors. Develop the budget for the tennis profit center and ensure that budget goals are met. Provide lessons and clinics relating to the techniques and strategies of tennis to members and guests. Organize, administer, and officiate at tournaments, exhibitions, and inter- and intra-club social events. Administer and enforce club tennis policies and procedures regarding play on club courts. Coordinate maintenance, repair, and cleaning of court with grounds and maintenance departments. Write and edit all tennis-related news for the club newsletter (includes photos when possible). Manage the tennis shop. Establish and implement an accurate inventory control system and report results accordingly. Supervise the transfer of all charge tickets from the tennis shop to the accounting department, ensuring that all collections are conducted according to Club policies and in timely manner. Promote tennis facilities to members and guests. Develop a detailed annual calendar of tennis activities and applicable promotion campaigns during the tennis season. Represent the club in area professional tennis activities and at state or national tennis events with approval from the club.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sports Management, Communications, Marketing, or related disciplines including sociology and psychology fields. Six months of experience in tennis management, organizing teams, planning, and scheduling coaching sessions and improving racquet sports programs. Experience analyzing revenue streams to meet business and financial targets. Amateur or professional level coaching experience. Experience teaching tennis to adult and child age groups.
