USTA Graduate Intern Summer 2024- Professional Tennis Operations in Purchase, New York

We are Tennis! The USTA (United States Tennis Association) is the national governing body for the sport of tennis and the leader in promoting and developing the sport’s growth on every level in the United States, from local communities to the crown jewel of the professional game, the US Open.

The Role

This is a 10-week program from June 10th through August 15th with the ability to extend throughout the US Open.

Working hours: Monday-Thursday, 9:00 AM through 5:00 PM EST

Hybrid schedule: Must be capable to work on-site 2-3 days per week at the Westchester Office with the ability to NTC as needed.

Hourly rate: $35.00

Key responsibilities pertain to assist the Director of Player Relations and Manager of Player Services with all US Open preparation for the player services areas.

Responsibilities & Projects:

  • Coordinate with all seasonal staff that will be working in player areas

  • Coordinate the interviews and presentation of player research and assist with player initiatives and activations

    Who You Are

  • Outstanding written, verbal, research and report communication skills

  • Self-starter who demonstrates the ability to work in a fast paced environment with agility

  • Critical Thinking skills and Problem Solving Skills

  • Tracking and time management skills

  • Project management skills

  • Collaborative interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate optimally and develop rapport with multiple internal and external stakeholders

  • Proficient in Google Workspace (G-Suite) and Microsoft Office

  • Experience with developing presentation decks (i.e. PowerPoint/or Google Slides)

  • Capable of working independently and in a collaborative business environment

  • Live event experience and proficiency in a foreign language is a plus
