Summary:

New York Edge is seeking a qualified and highly motivated candidate to fill the part-time role of Executive Assistant. In this role, you will perform a variety of administrative tasks in support of our Chief Operating Officer. To be successful in this role, you should be well-organized, have great time management skills, and be able to act with minimal guidance. Ultimately, you will contribute to the efficiency of our organization by providing personalized and timely support to our operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the point of contact between the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and leadership, staff, and external contacts

  • Manage scheduling and projects

  • Manage information flow in a timely and accurate manner

  • Manage calendars, set up meetings and take meeting minutes

  • Handle expenses and prepare reports

  • Prepare and format information for internal and external communication – memos, emails, presentations, reports, etc.

  • Screen and direct phone calls and distribute correspondence

  • Organize and maintain the office files primarily electronically but also hard files

  • Represent the organization in a professional manner during internal and external interactions

    Required Skills:

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other databases

  • Strong organization skills; the ability to manage competing priorities such as with daily interactions, scheduling and projects

  • Thinker and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent time management skills

  • Attention to detail

  • Great interpersonal skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Professional discretion

    Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma Required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred

  • Minimum of at least two (2) years of experience working in an office setting
