New York Edge Executive Assistant to Vice President in Queens, New York

New York Edge is seeking a qualified and highly motivated candidate to fill the executive assistant role. In this full-time role, you will perform various administrative tasks supporting VP Curriculum & Instruction and Curriculum Design . To be successful in this role, you should be well-organized, have great time management skills, and be able to act with minimal guidance. Ultimately, you will contribute to the efficiency of our organization by providing personalized and timely support to our department of curriculum and instruction.

Job Type:

Full-Time, Year-Round


$60,000 - $65,000 - Commensurate with qualifications and experience.


  • Act as the point of contact between the VP Curriculum & Instruction and Curriculum Design, Senior leadership, staff, and external contacts

  • Manage information flow in a timely and accurate manner

  • Manage calendars, set up meetings, and take meeting minutes

  • Handle expenses and prepare reports

  • Prepare and format information for internal and external communication – memos, emails, presentations, reports, etc.

  • Screen and direct phone calls and distribute correspondence

  • Organize and maintain the office files primarily electronically but also hard files

  • Represent the organization in a professional manner during internal and external interactions

    Required Skills:

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other databases

  • Strong organization skills; the ability to manage competing priorities such as with daily interactions, scheduling, and projects

  • Strategic thinking and strong problem-solving skills

  • Excellent time management skills

  • Attention to detail

  • Great interpersonal skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills


  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Minimum of at least two (3) years of experience working in an office setting

  • Certification in Office Management is a plus

    COVID-19 Related Requirements:

  • Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination required

  • Must be willing to follow all Federal, State, and Local guidelines and mandates regarding COVID-19 such as wearing PPE and remaining socially distant.
