The Office of Continuing Education and Workforce Development seeks an experienced professional to serve as a Continuing Education Director to support the operations, strategic planning, financial management/reporting, and overall administration of CEWD unit. The Operation Director will report directly to the Dean of Continuing Education and Workforce Development.

In addition to the CUNY Title Overview duties, responsibilities include Systems Administration, Program Management and Operations, Reporting and Marketing with additional duties as follows:
-Oversee and manage all administrative aspects of market outreach and programming, grant and contract development, financial management, marketing and community outreach.
-Create, communicate and maintain policies and procedures for the outreach and programming.
Develop new programs in collaboration with College faculty to complement college degree and certificate programs.
-Serve as College ambassador to industry associations and agencies.
-Partner with external contracts & vendors including program design, facilities usage, payment schedule (i.e., Bell Auto School for Drivers Education, summer youth enrichment academy in summer semester, Tramas Motorcycle program on weekends).
-Supervise front desk staff for program inquiries, outreach, and registrations.
-Oversee facilities administration (secure and schedule based on availability/feasibility) utilize Course Dog scheduler for classroom assignment and scheduling.
-Provide oversight over resources such as course textbooks, supplies, purchasing working with all program coordinators and/or team members.
-In collaboration with Dean and Core leadership, oversee the Enrollment Services activities of CEWD including staff prioritizing, schedule optimization, and updates for seamless customer relations.
-Develop and oversee the collection of program data such as refund ratios, breakeven analysis, ROI projections. Prepare data reports on a trimester basis using Campus CE, CTEA-2, and Fact Book.
-Initiate and collaborate with CEWD Marketing Manager and Department of Publications for all print materials, including trimester catalogs and semester-based brochures, ensuring compliance of CUNY & ADA protocols for PDFs and InDesign formats.
-Liaison with Department of Purchasing to coordinate and facilitate the Printing and Mailing of catalogs for distribution; Coordinate with CEWD Marketing Manager and Department of Marketing on the website and social media campaign.
-Perform community outreach and recruitment activities, in collaboration with directors and coordinators.
-Ensure all CE Teachers and Courses meet the NYS requirements with respective external agencies for Certified Nursing Assistant, EMT, Hemodialysis, Real Estate Salesperson licensing, and Driver Training and Teacher certifications, and other new programs to be created.
-Compile, populate, launch and export all data structures working with respective program sector directors, coordinators and team members.
-Participate in CUNY wide efforts as campus representative.
Bachelor's Degree and eight years' related experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience managing strategic and implementation planning efforts.
Experience fundraising and developing resources for programs.
Ability to work effectively with staff, associates, and internal and external constituents.
Ability to develop and manage effective tracking and monitoring systems, and to manage data for internal and external usage.
Ability to respond calmly to complex and urgent issues.
Ability to manage multiple priorities with clarity and efficiency.
Expert knowledge of major office computer and spreadsheet software related to field of work.
Working knowledge of public sector or non-profit funding policies, budgetary structures, procurement procedures, and bidding processes.
Experience with publishing software and/or HTML is desired.

Oversees a broad range of fiscal and program responsibilities for Continuing Education and related external programs
Provides leadership for the development and implementation of new programs of study and ensures the coordination and implementation of program components.
Plans, markets and implements College programs in Continuing Education, developing overall programs and overseeing development of content, budgets, and marketing strategies.
Develops funding proposals; solicits grant information and provides leadership and guidance in partnering with community and governmental agencies.
Provide fiscal oversight and evaluation; develops strategic and operating plans; reports progress and results to management.
Oversees a comprehensive marketing and public information program.
Manages staff of the Continuing Education office.
Represents Continuing Education within the College community and externally.
Performs related duties as assigned.
