USTA (seasonal) Lighting Specialist in Queens, New York

We are seekingRe-lampersto p lay an essential role in the US Open experience. In this role, you will be responsible for replacing light fixtures throughout the facility.
Start Date: July 8, 2024
End Date: September 8, 2024
Must be available 5 days per week July through September,
7 days per week during the US Open (August 26th - September 8th)
The Role
Greet and assist all staff and guests in a welcoming and friendly manner
Report unattended bags and packages, medical situations, incidents, or emergencies immediately to the command center
Janitorial servicing of the Arthur Ashe seating bowl (inner stadium) between matches and at the end of the last match
Replace light fixtures throughout the facility
Responsible for cleaning the ceiling covers
Responsible for cleaning out dust from the light fixtures
Accept material deliveries from suppliers and place in stockrooms
Provide access to stockrooms to trades and organize the space on a daily basis
Conduct an inventory of materials and keep a log of materials needed to meet the target stock levels
Be familiar with NTC procedures
Who You Are
Must have experience changing light bulbs
Previous guest or customer service related experience
Punctual and presentable shift attendance, neatly groomed in a clean, well-maintained uniform
Available to work for the full duration of the US Open tournament
Must be able to work 12+ hour shifts and be available days, nights and weekends
Willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions and able to stand for extended periods
Personable and proactive team player with excellent communication skills
Remain calm and focused in a fast-paced environment as well as during stressful situations
Bilingual (a plus, but not necessary)
Salary: $17 per hour; overtime eligible
$35 daily meal allowance during tournament (via credential)
