Position Summary
Reporting to Manufacturing Engineering Manager, R&D Manager or Quality Manager, the Engineering Intern will assist with various engineering disciplines in a wide variety of initiatives and projects.

What You Must Bring to This Role
Pursuing a Bachelor of Science in materials, mechanical, chemical or industrial engineering
Computer and software systems skills as applicable to position including but not limited to: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
Ability to independently set up experiments and monitor progress
Potential for internship to lead to full time employment after graduation
Analytical nature, responds positively to challenges and is a problem solver
How You'll Make an Impact
Responsible for assisting various engineering disciplines in a wide variety of engineering initiatives and projects
Focus on the successful completion of a technical project or process improvement, with documentation and presentation of results
Develop an understanding of Praxis products and processes
Work with senior level engineers and management to interpret and analyze data
Assist in developing engineering processes with guidance from senior level engineers and management
Opportunity to learn and execute lean manufacturing techniques
Track and execute cost reduction for process improvements
Lead value stream mapping exercises to determine and record business improvement areas
Working Conditions & Physical Efforts
Work is performed in a Production environment
May be required to lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to stand or sit for a prolonged period of time
Visual functions being those of near vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with leadership & clients
Finger dexterity is needed to access, enter, and retrieve data using a computer keyboard or operate equipment
Low exposure to physical risk
