Position Summary:

Performs accounting and bookkeeping activates for a large clinical and academic department. Serves as primary support to the Financial Analyst and Division Administration related to operational and financial tracking and reporting.


Financial Support for Research Department

  • Supports all clinical and device research protocols on financial and operational reporting to include but not limited to:

  • Financial submissions and records up keep

  • Audits / tracking of financials and operational data

  • Assist with budget development

  • Invoicing and reconciliations as assigned

  • Development and maintenance of required departmental reports

  • Assist with start-up, record maintenance and closing of study protocols

  • Corresponds (verbal and written) with potential and/or enrolled research subjects

  • Maintains and track office and laboratory inventory

Support Financial Analyst for Divisional Data and Financial Reporting

  • Develop, maintain operational and financial records for the division

  • Furnishes division reports and information as requested for the development of strategic objectives, budgets and quality reporting

  • Completes monthly reconciliation and maintains reports for the division financials to include but not limited to:

  • All Accounts assigned to the division

  • Endowments and gifts

  • Labor

  • Inventory

  • Assists with business improvement planning as assigned

  • Assists with budget review and development

  • Assists with capital submissions and tracking

  • Represents the division at meetings, events and trainings

Inventory and Supply Tracking

  • Collaborates with nursing leadership and assigned team members to develop and maintain systems for inventory tracking and reporting for research and clinical departments

  • Monitors and tracks all lease and/or service agreements

  • Management of PMM, Med Approved and other systems associated with supply chain and purchasing

  • Develops and maintains supply reports to include but not limited to:

  • Usage

  • Reimbursement

  • Expired

  • Data entry and maintenance of required reports

Other Duties as Assigned

  • Supports seasonal departmental and divisional activities and initiatives

  • Performs administrative duties as needed to support departmental and division goals and objectives


AAS degree in Accounting/Bookkeeping plus 3-4 years of related work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience and proficiency in working with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), Electronic Medical Record experience a plus.
