Assist the head coach in the planning, organization, and administration of Women’s Lacrosse
• Adhere to all NCAA, conference, and institutional guidelines, policies, and rules • Demonstrate leadership and professional behavior when dealing with student-athletes • Maintain positive constructive working relationships with student-athletes, athletics department coaches and staff, and all members of the College community • At all times promote the Women’s Lacrosse program in a positive way • Recruiting o Athletics software usage to correspond with recruits o Corresponding via mailings, phone calls, ACS software and emails o Assist in scheduling and setting up recruit visits o Attending off campus recruiting events o Attending high school games and showcase tournaments • Women’s Lacrosse Team Management support o Assist in practice planning, organization, and on-the-field coaching o Assist in scouting and game preparations o Game day duties as determined by Head coach o Assist in supervising team during away contests o Assist in the inventory and care of uniforms and team equipment o Help organize and participate in fund-raising activities • Oversee academic, moral, ethical and athletic development of the student-athletes (5%) • Yearly NCAA rules test participation
Education / Experience:
Bachelor’s degree required. Lacrosse knowledge required and collegiate playing experience desired.
Competencies / Skills:
Ability to demonstrate lacrosse related skills, interpersonal skills between students, staff, alumni and friends of the College.
Supervision of Employees:
Physical and Mental Demands:
Must be able to demonstrate lacrosse related techniques. The job entails normal sitting, standing and walking throughout the course of the day.
Mental Demands: Maintain professional attitude and demeanor in difficult situations. Position must have ability to multi-task in a very busy environment.
Varies depending on time of year, in-season or out of season. Ability to work nights and weekends to support practices, games and recruiting events.
