The Department of Psychiatry at the University of Rochester School of Medicine & Dentistry invites applications for a full-time faculty position at the rank of Associate Professor or above based on academic expertise and accomplishment. We are recruiting for a candidate with outstanding clinical research skills to join the Department’s Center for the Study and Prevention of Suicide (CSPS; We are recruiting for a researcher with a focus on youth suicide, as well as issues related to health inequities, social determinants of health, and disparate health outcomes in minority, underserved, and disadvantaged populations. The successful candidate will develop a program of research related to these areas, will collaborate with other CSPS investigators, and will contribute to training and education activities within the CSPS, including supervision and mentoring of junior researchers.

Candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Doctoral degree in psychology, medicine or other discipline related to suicide prevention.

  • Track record of research funding, research training and experience, with indications of academic success.

  • Track record of conducting research on the issues noted above.
