University of Rochester Department of Psychiatry has a leadership opportunity as Medical Director of Adult Ambulatory Services for a board certified psychiatrist interested in developing a career in a vibrant academic medical center.
This full-time position at the University of Rochester Medical Center includes an academic appointment with University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry at the rank of assistant or associate professor, commensurate with experience and accomplishments, and ample opportunities for faculty development within a robust tradition of mentorship. Teaching and supervision of psychiatric residents and fellows, medical students, and other trainees is an integral part of this position, along with clinical leadership in process improvement, program development, and strategic planning. With over 30,000 visits per year, we are a significant provider of outpatient services for adults in our diverse and vibrant community in Western New York. Our program includes a collaborative work environment of an interdisciplinary team of psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, RN’s, social workers, family therapists, and licensed mental health professionals. In addition to ambulatory services, our department provides a spectrum of services ranging from psychiatric emergency services, inpatient care, partial hospitalization, chemical dependency treatment, care management, and primary care.
