Ortho Clinical Diagnostics is seeking an Engineering Intern for our 2021 Summer Intern Program. The Engineering Intern will assist in the design, specification, configuration control, fixturing, setup, and qualification of a Medical Device Manufacturing line.
Interact with cross-functional teams to develop material flow, specify process requirements, and system performance
Assist in assembly aid development and test fixtures
Work with Facilities to ensure production layout requirements are met
Research and specify equipment and tools
Work with Suppliers to procure custom tools and test equipment
Implement a work station standard with ergonomic and ESD considerations
Manage configuration through bill of material and work process to standard
Create/modify engineering and qualification test plans
Execute test plans and create reports
Create standardization model and assembly cadence
Present to cross-functional teams
Deliver assigned tasks to a project plan timeline
Technical Report on work completed
The intern will present his/her work to a cross-functional group.
Undergraduate degree in the Field of Study: Electrical / Mechanical / Process/ Industrial Engineering.
Minimum Year in School: 4th year
Minimum GPA: 3.0
Broad knowledge of technical areas including: facility layout, schematics, configuration control, documentation, electro-mechanical troubleshooting, ESD, ergonomics, and test protocols.
Knowledge of Mechanical drawings and tolerancing, materials, software, experience with electro-mechanical assemblies and test fixtures.
Student must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident
