We are seeking highly motivated sales individuals with a start-up spirit and technical expertise to join our EY Nexus team. The Presales Solution Architect will be part of the EY Nexus sales team working across Banking & Capital Markets solutions. This is an exciting opportunity to solve a wide range of complex challenges for leading Banking & Capital Markets organizations and be at the forefront of transformation in the financial services industry.
The Presales Solution Architect is responsible for shaping and selling the overall Nexus opportunity to the client. This is a product-minded individual who understands the industry domain, client’s business challenges and how to leverage the right elements of the Nexus platform. They are considered the “quarterback” of the deal, pulling in the relevant parties necessary and working closely with the account team to convert opportunities to sales.
Key responsibilities:
Possess a strong understanding of the Nexus platform and its capabilities
Work with clients to understand problem/opportunity areas and determine how to shape the solution leveraging Nexus assets
Take point on pitching Nexus to clients, including providing demos and capability walkthroughs
Create proposals and other pursuit collateral; support with RFI/RFP responses
Support in drafting statements of work, working with account teams to negotiate terms and conditions, and working through EY’s quality process
Work with Product Sales Engineers to define the scope of the opportunity and provide input on sizing, pricing plans and commercial treatment
Ensure pricing structure and commercial treatments are clearly communicated to account teams and clients, setting clear expectations for support and maintenance post-engagement
Work with Nexus Banking Sector Leader to manage the Nexus pipeline and help qualify pursuits
Work with Nexus Product team to proactively offer ideas to enhance or expand Nexus capabilities and inform strategy and roadmap
Maintain awareness of Nexus vendors and alliance partners; help optimize new distribution and partnership opportunities
Possess a strong understanding of EY Financial Services Consulting Solutions; collaborate with Sector teams to align relevant Nexus capabilities for an integrated go-to-market strategy
Possess strong understanding of competitors in the market and key differentiators of Nexus
Showcase Nexus capabilities and articulate success stories at industry conferences and events
Skills and attributes for success:
Strong understanding of the Banking & Capital Markets sector, including key business domains
Understanding of modern technology principles to work collaboratively with Sales Engineers and provide them with requirements in a way that is easy for them to consume
Ability to determine which Nexus capabilities are relevant to each opportunity
Understanding of how to estimate and size deals based on scope of work
Understanding of the Nexus commercialization model, including how we license and price our assets, as well as how we manage Intellectual Property rights
Flexibility and willingness to work with other EY Sector teams outside of Banking & Capital Markets
To qualify for the role, you must have:
BS/BA required
10+ years of experience
Background in product sales or business operations is desirable
A high energy level, sense of urgency, decisiveness, and an ability to work well under pressure
Exceptional relationship management abilities to work effectively with clients, vendors, account and product teams
Ability to explain technical information in a manner that is understood by non-technical clients
Excellent project management, collaboration, interpersonal and communication skills
Willingness to share ideas and leading practices
Flexibility to adjust to multiple demands, shifting priorities, ambiguity, and rapid change
Willingness to travel
Ideally, you’ll also have
Work experience in a professional services industry and/or at a product-based company
Experience working with product development teams
Understanding of Product Development Lifecycle and standard architecture design artifacts
Familiarity with Data Science and Machine Learning concepts
Familiar with contemporary technology principles and patterns, including:
Event streaming / stream-based processing
Reactive microservices design
Containerization
Cloud infrastructure and architecture

What we offer
We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The salary range for this job in most geographic locations in the US is $163,400 to $373,300. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $196,100 to $424,300. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Under our flexible vacation policy, you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances. You’ll also be granted time off for designated EY Paid Holidays, Winter/Summer breaks, Personal/Family Care, and other leaves of absence when needed to support your physical, financial, and emotional well-being.
