RIT’s College of Art and Design (CAD) is accepting applications for a highly organized, detail-oriented individual to assist our Scheduling Officer. This position is responsible for assisting in generating the fall, spring and summer terms’ CAD course and class schedules, and building the course schedule in SIS for CAD academic programs. This includes resolving student scheduling conflicts, time block discrepancies, lab scheduling, and classroom logistics. This position also manages RIT Undergraduate and Graduate Bulletins for the College, collaborating with College Administrators, Undergraduate Program Directors, and Graduate Directors to implement an accurate yearly RIT publication for perspective students. The Scheduling Assistant serves as a member of the Scheduling Officers Council. This position is also responsible for processing and confirming room requests for CAD faculty and staff using the Event Management System. The Scheduling Assistant is responsible for the integrity and security of curricular documents, and serves as back-up to the Scheduling Officer.

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
2-4 years of related experience
Working knowledge of registration policies and procedures
Ability to work within deadlines and make decisions
Must be able to multi-task -- capable of planning long-range schedules while dealing with current day-to-day situations
Excellent customer service skills are essential
Demonstrated ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
Ability to pay attention to detail
Excellent written and oral communication skills; thorough knowledge of English grammar, punctuation, and spelling with a demonstrated ability to produce professional communications that meet high standards for appearance, grammar, spelling, and clarity.
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
General knowledge of RIT processes, programs and resources
Familiarity with Oracle, Event Management System, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, and use of file shares
PeopleSoft knowledge or similar student record management software is a plus
