Rochester Academy Charter Schools Secondary Instructional Coach in Rochester, New York
Rochester Academy Charter School is currently seeking a Secondary Instructional Coach to support teachers in grades 6-12. Primary Responsibilities Include Co-teaching, Co-Planning, Co-Grading in instructional coaching cycles including daily interactions for 3-4 teachers per cycle Assisting new teachers and teachers new to the profession to assure that classroom routines and procedures serve all learners Assisting career changers in learning the basic of instructional practice, classroom management and assessment Help teachers maximize student participation during lessons Periodically provide professional development to departments, grade level teams, or the full school building Exhibit patience, positivity and grit during the coaching process Key Qualifications Ten years of successful teaching experience in any secondary content area Proficiency in instructional technology, ready to use tech tools to help teachers maximize instructional time Understanding of the Danielson’s Framework for Evaluation (2013) Outgoing personality and willingness to help teachers with the change process NYS Certification in any secondary content area is preferred but not required Additional Information Position is 11 months, with 20 summer days with flexible scheduling Coach will manage their daily schedule over two work locations, driving may be required during the work day Collaborates with and reports directly to the Chief Academic Officer RACS is a public charter school, primarily serving students from the city of Rochester.
