University of Rochester Sr Residency/Fellowship Admin in Rochester, New York

GENERAL PURPOSE:

Coordinates administrative support services for medical staff and officers, including processing of applications and appointments, orientation of new staff members and communication of information between staff departments and administration. Coordinates billing, collection and deposit of staff dues, including maintenance of related records. Uses prescribed guidelines or policies to analyze and resolve problems. Receives a moderate level of guidance and direction.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Direct and manage all academic and day-to-day operational activities for the Neuromuscular Medicine Fellowship Graduate Medical Education Program. Identify, evaluate, and supervise all fellowship activities. Collaborates with the Fellowship Program Director regarding accreditation requirements. Interprets and analyzes program requirements, institutional policies and procedures, and data.

  • Makes recommendations to the Program Director and advises on changes to the program based on anticipated needs, new or changing program and institution requirements, and implements changes.

  • Direct and manage the recruitment and orientation of new fellows. Develop, implement, and evaluate educational and credentialing activities. Represent the education division in interactions with the Graduate Medical Education office, Strong Memorial Hospital, and other departments. Counsel fellows on program policies and procedures. Ensure Fellowship Program compliance with ACGME.

  • Attend ACGME meetings and trainings. Attend monthly GME meetings to keep current with GME and institutional requirements. Plan, oversee, and participate in Fellowship Program Meetings: Provide appropriate documentation of resident milestones for the Clinical Competency Committee meetings.

  • Duties management of educational lectures and conferences, budget management, verification of alumni, etc.

  • Participate in the Program Evaluation Committee meetings and prepare meeting minutes.

Fellowship Compliance Management:

  • Oversees fellowship program compliance with NYS regulations, JCAHO, IPRO, NYSDOH, ACGME, and URMC GME office. This includes: monitoring duty hours to ensure compliance with NYS Code 405/IPRO, including moonlighting and extra shift hours; monitoring/tracking fellow attendance at mandatory sessions required by University/Hospital GME and Dr. Panzer; Team STEPPS; Patient Care & Safety Survey; IHI – Institute for Health Care Improvement; RL Solutions for reporting adverse events and near misses; ICare; GME exit survey; ISTOP; DEA; NPI; Annual health updates; mask fit testing; PPDs; work closely with Assistant Director of Clinical Administration and Program Director to keep current with all written program policies and procedures for recruitment, appointments, reappointments, and regulatory program requirements with ACGME (Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education), ABPN (American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology), AANEM (American Association of Neuromuscular Medicine), and AAN (American Academy of Neurology, and the University.

  • Neuromuscular administrative support, including faculty calendar management, event organizer (graduation, summer picnic, appreciation days, etc.), assist with faculty and staff travel and expense reimbursements.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of relevant experience required or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

  • 4 years of relevant experience or combination of education and experience required.

  • Strong written, verbal, and interperson skills are required.

  • Strong computer and communication skills are required.

  • Strong time management skills required.

Pay Range

Pay Range: $54,808 - $76,752 Annually

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job’s compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
