PCB Designer

Create and modify detailed drawings using CAD hardware and software from sketches, layouts or notes provided by engineering. Contributes design modifications to facilitate manufacturing operation or quality of product. Checks drawing plots versus the project input for correctness and conformance to standards. Works with engineers regarding model accuracy, design, drafting standards and ECN/ECR documentation. May work with system management including file maintenance, backup and storage.

This position is for a seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of areas of specialization; resolves a wide range of issues in imaginative as well as practical ways. Must be a highly self-motivated solid team player who is able to multi-task and work on both new development projects and change orders in a fast-paced technical environment.

Works on assignments requiring considerable judgment and initiative. Understands implications of work and makes recommendations for solutions. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.


  • Five (5) years of experience in RF Design, Power Supply and Digital/Analog type PCB design, and building library parts. Must be able to interpret data sheets to create all aspects needed for PCB parts creation.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with Mentor DX Designer tool and Mentor PADS layout tool.

  • Minimum of 5 years Schematic capture and PCB layout experience.

  • Five years design experience utilizing both double sided and multi-layer boards.

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience with CAM350 or other Gerber software packages.

  • Well experienced with the industry standard component package types used in board layouts.

  • Five years’ experience using Microsoft Office tools.

  • Proficiency with Design for Manufacturing, Test and Assembly.

  • Two years’ experience with AGILE PLM tool preferred.

    Ability to multi task and balance work load.


  • Associates degree in Mechanical / Electrical Technology or a CAD drafting background preferred.Will consider other backgrounds that have a minimum of 4-6 years of related experience.
