Job Title: RIZ Systems/IA Administrator
Job Description: AFRL/RIZ Mission Technical Support (FFP) Provide Information Technology and Information System Security support to the AFRL/RIZ Mission, networks and systems.
Responsibilities: Prioritize, plan, and accomplish/resolve IT projects, tasks, and customers- IT-related issues.\ Plan and conduct network and system administration support activities, to include datacenter support, infrastructure support, client support, and customer support. Manage assigned tasks through resolution, work towards resolution of all open tasks, and update AFRL/RIZ staff and customers on status and next actions. Maintain knowledge and documentation of facility security practices, conference room resources, and other facility protocols. Schedule, set up, operate, and tear down teleconferences and video teleconferences. Information System Security. In accordance with the Joint Special Access Program Implementation Guide (JSIG), National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) 800-53 and other applicable NIST publications, Air Force Policy, Instructions and guidance, and in coordination with AFRL/RIZ IA, IT Support, Program Security, and Facility Security personnel, and for all assigned systems, system components, software and applications: Prepare for Government approval and maintain all documentation, to include Security Plans, Standard Operating Procedures, Continuous Monitoring Plans, and others. Identify, tailor, implement, test, assess, and audit applied and recommended security controls.
Qualifications: Detect, identify, categorize, evaluate, brief, and mitigate or eliminate security risks. Plan for, brief and act to restore or recover from incidents. Analyze Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts or Bulletins and other cyberspace orders for impact to systems. Plan and implement applicable patches and fix actions, and take or recommend appropriate additional follow-on actions to ensure cyber security posture. Ensure cyber security and security related software, hardware, and firmware complies with appropriate system security configuration guidelines, policies, and procedures. Perform system audits to assess security related factors within system boundaries. Provide direction and support to system developers regarding correction of security problems identified during testing. Information System Maintenance. For all assigned systems, system components, software and applications: Install, secure, test, maintain, and upgrade operating systems, software and hardware in accordance with applicable security controls, DISA STIGs, manufacturer best practice and security guidance. Perform IT-related customer support functions, to include installation, configuration, troubleshooting, customer assistance, and training. Detect, identify, categorize, evaluate, brief, troubleshoot, and mitigate or eliminate system issues. Manage accounts, network rights, and logical accesses to systems and components. Configure, optimize, and test system servers, hubs, routers, and switches. Ensure that hardware, software, data, and facility resources are archived, sanitized, or disposed of in a manner consistent with system security plans and requirements. Provide full-spectrum IA/IT Support to the organization, the facility and customers. Provide immediate reaction and continuous awareness/communication of outages and degradations. Provide timely communication with customers and staff (updates, training, feedback, troubleshooting). Provides support in all areas of project requirements.
Certifications Required: Security+, Window/Linux Server
Education: Bachelor-s degree, Education requirement may be waived for exceptionally qualified personnel.
Year-s Experience: 3 - 5 years of experience
Security Clearance Required: must have an ACTIVE Secret Security Clearance
