The New York Racing Association, Inc. Coordinating Producer in Saratoga Springs, New York
NYRA seeks to hire a seasonal Coordinating Producer to work on the live television broadcasts of horse racing on national and regional sports networks. The qualified candidate will be available from mid July through Labor Day.
Back bench oversight in tv truck for the daily programming, including coordination with talent, production assistants and camera operators.
Field production for Electronic News Gathering (ENG) shoots, including management and scheduling of ENG crews to meet show needs.
Work closely with show producers to make sure deadlines are being met.
Assist with production and editing of features, interviews and other pre-recorded show elements.
Act as liaison between marketing/sponsorship and producers to ensure all obligations are being met.
Daily Content Management for the NYRA video applications.
Work with Producers to create the daily run down.
Follow up throughout the day to ensure show elements are being loaded in a timely fashion before they are needed for air.
Assist producers and graphics team to ensure elements contain accurate information, spelling and that they maintain the look and feel of the show.
Produce promotional materials, teasers, etc. for major events on upcoming shows.
Attend daily production meetings with talent and production staff.
Communicate any issues that may compromise the broadcast to management and/or engineering team.
Work closely with the Executive Producer and Director of TV Broadcast Ops.
Bachelor’s degree preferred
5 plus years of experience in a live sports production environment.
Horse Racing experience/knowledge required.
Ability to work at all 3 NYRA racetracks: Aqueduct, Belmont and Saratoga.
