Skidmore College Summer Office Assistant, Opportunity Program in Saratoga Springs, New York

Summer Office Assistant

Works under the supervision of the Opportunity Program (OP) staff to support regular office functions throughout the summer academic terms.

Responsibilities include: greeting visitors in the office and maintaining sign-in records, answering phones, photocopying, running errands, filing, typing, data entry, preparing mailings, taking inventory of supplies, and other duties as assigned by OP staff. Must be trustworthy and capable of maintaining confidentiality in working with student personal information. Will be expected to support Summer Academic Institute student staff during the five-week summer program. Must be willing to work as part of a team and also have the ability to work independently.

Hours for the position are Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Room & Board included.

Minimum Qualifications

Skidmore student or recent Skidmore graduate. Must possess excellent communication skills and be proficient in Word and Excel.

Preferred Qualifications

Office administration experience. Valid driver’s license.

    Pay Range: $15.00/hr
