Skidmore College Summer Operations Assistant (Case Desk Staff) in Saratoga Springs, New York
Summer Operations Assistants work with our many summer programs that stay on campus over the summer. They will assist with check in and check out and serve as customer service representatives to our guests. This role combines responsibilities and coverage for the Summer Registration Desk, event support, and the Surrey-Williamson Inn throughout the summer.
Summer Operations Assistants (SOA’s) responsibilities include: Greeting and providing excellent customer service to our summer guests at the Summer Registration Desk as well as the Surrey Inn. SOA’s serve as the point of contact to solve guest's concerns and questions that may arise. SOA’s conduct quality walkthroughs of guest rooms on campus as well as the Inn to ensure rooms are guest-ready. SOA’s provide support for events and serve as ushers at Zankel’s Ladd Hall as needed. Staff will be assigned to the Summer Registration Desk and/or the Surrey during the hours of 8:30am – 6pm. After hours on -call duties to respond to lock outs and other guest emergencies are scheduled 1-2 evenings per week. Summer Operations Assistants work 30-35 hours per week, most weekends are required. Summer housing and meals are provided for this position for undergraduate Skidmore students.Min Qualifications - Prior customer service experience, knowledge of Skidmore and the Saratoga community. Must be comfortable with using a housing database to manage check ins and other housing related responsibilities, training will be provided. Evening and weekend availability a must.
Preferred qualifications - Hospitality or events experience a plus.
Summer housing and meals is provided for this position for undergraduate Skidmore students working an average of 20 hours/week.

Pay Rate: $15.20/hr
