ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Will assist with internal messaging initiatives as well as external awareness pushes to drive earned media exposure.
Developing copy for social media posts, first drafts of internal announcements and external media advisories/press releases and reviewing communications for grammar/punctuation.
Conducting searches for news coverage of the OpCos, both via search engines and the company’s media monitoring platform.
Interviewing employees to gather information for newsletters, features, etc.
Creating initial versions of social media and announcement graphics
Photographing and filming relevant events and awareness opportunities and editing video.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Strong analytical skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A solid work ethic and good attendance.
The ability to work both in a team and as an individual without needing constant guidance and supervision.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Undergraduate juniors/seniors, post-undergraduate, or graduate/MBA students preferred.
Major: Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Public Affairs, preferred.

The disclosed compensation range for this position is applicable within the state the position resides. The actual base pay offered will consider internal equity and may also vary depending on the candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. The compensation range is one component of Price Chopper/Market 32 and Northeast Shared Services’ total compensation and benefits package, which includes, 401(k), 401(k) match, paid time off, comprehensive health benefits, and more.
