As the Facilities and Security Manager for Region 2 you will take on a hands-on leadership role and manage the maintenance and repair of all leased and owned PPGNY facilities.
Additional responsibilities include:
Oversee regular cleaning, maintenance and repairs of all buildings including necessary painting, minor plumbing, electric and HVAC including all related budgets.
Manage contractors (bids, contracts, scheduling).
Responsible for relationship management with cleaning vendors and landscaping vendors.
Responsible for relationship management with owners of leased properties.
Utilizes computerized maintenance management software (CMMS) to track maintenance and repair tickets.
Accepts individual and joint responsibility for and participates in efforts to comply with all PPGNY Risk & Quality Management guidelines, PPFA guidelines and all pertinent government regulations including OSHA.
Implements security policies and procedures as developed by the Director of Security.
Manage the upkeep of equipment and supplies to meet health and safety standards.
Responsible for implementing approved space moves.
Regulatory compliance of Federal, State and Local building codes.
Ensures security and emergency preparedness procedures are implemented properly.
Three (3) years of experience in facility operations that includes experience for mechanical, electrical and plumbing operations.
A clean,? Valid State of New York Driver’s license and are comfortable operating a company van .
The ability to lift 50 lbs.
The ability to use step and extension ladders.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Knowledge of bid sheets and bid process for a variety of work.
Strong project management skills.
Ability to work with a culturally diverse workforce, including creating and sustaining an organizational culture that fosters inclusiveness and equity, and providing positive and developmental feedback and accountability related to practices including but not limited to equity.
This is a full-time position located within the Mohawk Valley Region of New York, and involves travel within the region. Primary travel will be to Region 2 North locations (Queensbury, Saratoga Springs, Clifton Park, Schenectady, Cobleskill, Amsterdam and Johnstown) with travel to other PPGNY locations on occasion.
- $50,000-60,000 yearly.

All positions at PPGNY require:
Proof of immunization or immunity to certain communicable diseases (including influenza during the flu season) and testing for tuberculosis. These certifications are required by the NYC DOHMH Health Code, NYSDOH and OSHA.
