Landscape Laborer: (4) Fulltime, Temporary, Seasonal (H-2B) Jobs available 04/01/2025-11/30/2025
Employer: High County Hardscape & Landscape Designs, LLC., 1101 Mariaville Rd, Schenectady, NY 12306. Worksite: 659 Consalus, Ave., Schenectady, NY 12306.
Duties: Responsible for landscaping and maintaining grounds and property using hand and power tools and equipment including skid steers. Mow and maintain existing landscaping, including trimming, planting, pruning, sod laying, fertilizing, watering, digging and raking, sprinkler installation, and installation of mortar-less segmented concrete masonry wall units. Sweep walkaway of debris. Cut down tree limbs, trim shrubs and pull weeds. Perform minor repairs and maintenance procedures on equipment used in grounds keeping. Work in all weather conditions. Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
Employer to provide transportation to and from multiple worksites in Saratoga, Schenectady and Rensselaer counties, from designated location: 659 Consalus Ave., Schenectady, NY 12306.
No education required. 3 months experience required.
Work Days: Mon-Fri, 6am-6pm, 60 hours/week at $19.82/hour, OT at $29.73/hour when available. Schedule and hours may vary. Saturday work required, when necessary. Bonuses/raises may be paid at employer discretion based on performance, skill, tenure.
Employer will assist workers in securing housing, but employer will not provide housing.
A single workweek will be used to compute wages due. Workers will be paid weekly on Friday.
All deductions from the worker's paycheck required by law will be made.
Post-hire random drug testing at employer's expense for all workers, both domestic and H-2B. Workers may receive higher Davis-Bacon Act wage rates associated with certain job sites if encountered.
Employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job.
H-2B workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (excluding passport fees).
Transportation (including meals and, to the extent necessary, lodging) to the place of employment will be provided, or its cost to workers reimbursed, if the worker completes half the employment period. Return transportation will be provided if the worker completes the employment period or is dismissed early by the employer. Daily subsistence rates are $15.88/day without receipts or up to $59/day with receipts.
