Responsibilities

ADMINISTRATIVE

  • Responsible for all administrative duties as pertains to Corps operations and social services.

  • Maintains office equipment to ensure supplies are kept on hand.

  • Maintains and manages inventory of office supplies and orders as needed (Corps and Booth Home)

  • Assist with cooking breakfast and lunch, food distribution and organization of all food storage areas

  • Assist in statistics reporting and mileage reporting keeping track of Food Bank reports

  • Assist in donation pick-ups from grocery stores and various vendors as needed

  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of facility including kitchen daily to ensure a safe environment for all staff members, volunteers, and participants

FINANCIAL

  • Assist in recording (photocopy) incoming checks and process to bookkeeper, compose “thank you’s.”

  • Assist in recording GE matching donations, and process for receipt of funds from GE

  • Ensure all funds are always safeguarded.

  • Making deposits as required.

PROGRAM

  • Make phone calls as needed to program participants

  • Maintains Food Bank reports as needed

CHRISTMAS SEASON

  • Assist in organizing and recordkeeping as well as administrative duties relating to the

  • Christmas season fundraising.

  • Assist in receive and process applications for Christmas Kettle Season to included correspondence with

  • volunteer groups and individuals.

  • Organize and assist pick up dates and times for Angel Tree effort

HUMAN RESOURCES

  • Maintain employees record files in coordination with the Corps Officers

  • Prepare job evaluation forms and keep track of anniversary dates

  • Schedule individual job reviews

  • Process reviews to DHQ with Corps Officer’s approval

  • Process claims with Chesterfield Resources

  • Recording and processing of vacation time, sick days, personal days, etc.

Qualifications

  • Adhere to The Salvation Army mission statement

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

  • Able to multi task

  • Applicant must be skilled with computer office programs (Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher, Power Point, database, internet, etc.

  • Valid Driver’s License that meets The Salvation Army insurance requirements
