The Senior Registration Assistant is an integral part of the Registrar Office. The Senior Registration Assistant responsibilities revolve around updating our SIS with changes of majors, minors, and advisers, handling in-person transactions with students involving course changes, creating each term's course schedule and managing data entry related to December and June degree conferrals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree Preferred; Associates Degree in Business Management or similar field required.

  • Three to five years of experience demonstrating attention to detail and accuracy in a higher education office.

  • Strong computer and analytical skills required.

  • Must have strong interpersonal skills and be comfortable dealing with various college constituencies on a daily basis.

  • Must have initiative to work independently and be a self-starter.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the preparation of the undergraduate course schedule.

  • Assist in the prescheduling of the incoming first year class of students during the summer, including the recording of majors and advisers.

  • Assist during the normal prescheduling and add/drop periods during each term for all students.

  • Maintain and update a variety of computerized files via Colleague SIS.

  • Follow up on incomplete student schedules after add/drop each term.

  • Process requests for students withdrawing from a course, and Pass/Fail requests.

  • Enter course data for advanced placement and transfer credits.

  • Assist in updating the online academic catalog.(Acalog)

  • Assist with grade changes/corrections after online grading has concluded at the end of each term.

  • Assist with processing address changes as needed.

  • Solicit diploma name spelling from each graduating senior; follows up on missing information.

  • Links the adviser of each graduating senior to their major in preparation for final degree processing.

  • Prepare and distribute various notices to the campus community about upcoming deadlines.

  • Place work orders for the office with Facilities.

  • Assist with the processing of certifications and transcripts, as necessary, during peak times or in the absence of the Student Records Assistant.

  • Answer phones and assist students, parents, faculty, staff and alumni with questions.

  • Assist others in the office and share duties as necessary.

  • Other related duties and projects as assigned by the Assistant Registrar or Registrar.
