Price Chopper TRANSPORTATION REFRIGERATION TECHNICIAN in Schenectady, New York
Diagnose, repair, and maintain all transport refrigeration equipment owned, leased, or operated by the company. Ability to diagnose and make repairs to both the engine, as well as the refrigeration system within industry time standards. Ability to diagnose both electronically or computer controlled systems. Examples being engines, micro-processor controls.
Other duties may be assigned.
Ensure all work process meet the Federal EPA Act Requirements.
Ability to diagnose and make all types of repairs on refrigeration equipment with electronic controlled or computerized systems within industry time standards.
Ability to diagnose and make all types of repairs on non-electronically controlled refrigeration systems within industry time standards
Diagnose and repair complex performance problems using current technologies, such as laptop computers.
Ability to read and interpret manufactures troubleshooting charts, schematics, to diagnose and repair all types of problems.
Provide technical knowledge to assist with road calls.
Meets company or industry time standards within job classification
Perform PMI’s on refrigeration units
Ensure work is performed within company and industry safety guidelines
Train and assist other technicians in all of the above areas
Adhere to all safety policies, procedures and best practices while performing tasks in a manner that promotes safety at all times.
Perform other related duties as assigned by management and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, electrical schematics, and procedure manuals.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Must be certified in the Federal Environmental Protection Agency Section 608 Type 1 and Type 2 tests
MINIMUM EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
One year certificate from college or technical school.
Minimum of 5 years experience.
Or ten years on the job experience and training.
