Regeneron Pharmaceuticals Director, Global Compensation in Sleepy Hollow, New York

The Director of Compensation leads a team of seasoned professionals who are responsible for Regeneron’s global compensation strategy, plans and programs. Our goal is to develop, implement and optimize a comprehensive, compelling total rewards portfolio that helps attract top talent and motivate employees to deliver excellence in service of Regeneron’s mission. Partnering with the rest of the total rewards team to provide thought leadership, innovative strategies, executional excellence, and a focus on an exceptional employee experience through strong communication and engagement.

As the Director of Compensation, a typical day might include:

  • Partner with Total Rewards leadership to lead short- and long-term compensation strategy for all levels within the organization

  • Aligning our compensation strategy with overall Total Rewards, HR and business strategy globally

  • Building relationships with key leaders within and outside HR to understand the voice of the customer and include it in design and execution of compensation plans and programs

  • Act as an expert on the external market, the latest trends and innovative thinking and translate them into creative, culturally and organizationally appropriate solutions

  • Partnering with HRBPs and Business Leaders on compensation challenges. Recommends solutions ranging from individual employee recommendations to tailored compensation program interventions

  • Crafting & delivering effective and impactful compensation communications with employees, managers and leaders

Leadership

  • Keeping employee experience top of mind, develop and implement communications systems, tools and programs to encourage understanding of and access to the right information at the right time for employees

  • Lead the compensation team through key enterprise-wide processes (such as annual merit, stock, bonus, etc), demonstrating strong project management capabilities

  • Keeps “data first” mentality to advocate for data-driven insights, decisions and strategies

  • Drive fairness and compliance in pay practices and policies

  • Working closely with finance, company leadership and external consultants to set, monitor and report on the financial aspects of compensation

  • Leads the team, advocates for and encourages development of team members, delegates effectively and holds the team accountable for performance, contributions and personal development

  • You have aligned compensation strategies across Total Rewards, HR and business strategies globally

  • You possess deep expertise on the external market, the latest trends and innovative thinking around compensation and translating data into creative, culturally and organizationally appropriate solutions

  • You have a passion for building rapport with key leaders within and outside HR to understand the voice of the customer and include it in design and execution of compensation plans and programs

  • You keep employee experience top of mind in development of communications, tools and programs to encourage understanding of, and access to, the right information at the right time for employees

To be considered for this opportunity you must possess a Bachelor’s degree and 10 – 15 years of demonstrable experience, including success in setting and executing progressive compensation strategies. Leadership management experience with a stong dedication to mentoring and developing teams. Deep technical knowledge of laws and regulations. Ability to handle multiple priorities, prioritize and make decisions in a constantly evolving environment.
