Monroe 2-Orleans BOCES REGIONAL SUMMER SCHOOL PROGRAM-TECHNOLOGY SERVICE TECH. (Gates Chili HS /Greece )-2025 in Spencerport, New York

Provide training and support for teachers on application of web-based technologies into instruction to capitalize on individual student electronic devices.

Program Dates:

  • July 10, Staff only, seven (7) hours

  • July 14 - August 18, four (4) hours per day (no school 7/11, 7/18, 7/25, 8/1)

  • August 19 & 20, seven (7) hours per day (Regents exam days)

  • Must be able to work all dates

TYPICAL DUTIES:

  • Install new equipment.

  • Install utility and applications software.

  • Conduct routine systems support (e.g., connect laptops, new users; backups; hard drive management) activities.

  • Troubleshoot: Provide first response, evaluation and routing of resources to resolve hardware/software problems.

  • Conduct module level repairs.

  • Train staff one-on-one in basic operations.

  • Maintain support and service records.

  • Perform other duties appropriate to the position as assigned by the Regional Summer School site principal.

Job Qualifications

A. Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with an Associate's degree in Electronic Technology, Microcomputer repair, or related field with a minimum of 9 credit hours in digital electronics, OR;

B. Two (2) years of paid full-time or its part-time equivalent experience in maintenance and repair of microcomputers and related equipment, OR;

C. Successful completion of a recognized course in microcomputer repair such as training courses offered by the military, microcomputer hardware vendors or consultants, or any other training course providing "hands on" microcomputer repair experience, plus one (1) year of experience as described in (B) above.
