Description
11 month position. Responsible for the oversight of recruiting coordination and organization as well as the direction of creative content and branding for men’s and women’s basketball recruiting and internal messaging purposes.
Examples of Duties
Serve as the creative director and lead designer for all recruiting efforts, internal messaging and in-house materials, including, but not limited to, graphics, photo shoots, social media material, mailouts, signage, team apparel, recruiting guides, internal docs, etc.30%
Responsible for executing other design projects as assigned5%
Organize recruiting creative content calendar and correspondence plan (mailouts, text/email graphics, messaging, etc.)5%
Create and maintain social media presence for Head Coach (2)10%
Collaborate with the Athletic and University communications and marketing departments on projects for external and internal efforts5%
Assist in the organization of all on-campus recruiting efforts, including, but not limited to, travel logistics, itineraries, photo shoots, meetings, graphics, videos, etc.10%
Coordinate all off-campus recruiting travel for Head Coach (2) and assistant coaches (6)10%
Manage prospective student-athlete recruiting database5%
Organize and log all recruiting activity to ensure compliance with SBU and NCAA rules5%
Oversee all external and recruiting correspondence5%
Process and rectify all on-and off-campus recruiting expenses5%
Assist in additional operational duties as assigned 5%
Possible travel responsibilities during in sport season
Typical Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required.
Relevant experience in a collegiate or professional athletics setting. Graphic design proficiency required.
First Aid, CPR, AED Required (or willingness to obtain).
Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without sponsorship.
