NJ Employer Nursery Worker in Stanfordville, New York

Anticipated period of employment: 08/01/2024 to 12/23/2024

All applicants must have 3 months experience hand harvesting a perishable crop. Applicants must be able to furnish affirmative job references from recent employers.

Manually plant, weed, harvest and prune plants. Maintain weed-free rows, applying fertilizer and mound rows. Identify flower's state of bloom. The flowers have dahlias, zinnias, cosmos, Japanese anemones. Harvest flowers with precision and speed of 200 per hour, sorting, conditioning &packing cut flowers, loading on trucks for delivery. Dig up tubers, wash, dry, cut, separate, label for storage and pack for next season. Land clearing, tiling soil, brush clearing, mowing and rock removal. Must be a focused and detail-oriented person. Must be physically able to lift 50 lbs. consistently throughout the day. Workers referred as a result of this order must have a minimum of 3 months verifiable experience working in commercial flower production. Only workers meeting all qualifications on the job order should be referred by the Job Service Office.
