New York Edge Counselor-in-Training (CIT) in Staten Island, New York
New York Edge is the largest provider of after school and summer camp programs in New York City public schools. Each year, programs in academics – including STEM, the arts, sports & wellness, and college access help 40,000 students develop leadership skills and succeed in school. Working parents count on our programs to provide safe and enriching environments for their children.
We are excited to give the young adults in our community an opportunity to build professional skills while helping engage campers in positive ways throughout the summer. Our Counselor in Training program will teach and encourage participants to be effective youth workers by attending trainings, working alongside seasoned youth professionals, and creating a supportive, safe work environment. New York Edge camps are housed in a New York City Elementary or Middle School. Counselors in Training (C.I.T.) will support camp staff and instructors before, during, and after activities.
