Storer's Container Service, Inc. has been in business for over 25 years. We provide waste hauling services for two of the largest food manufacturing plants in Dunkirk, 20+ small businesses & construction companies and over 800 residential customers throughout Chautauqua, Western Cattaraugus, & Southern Erie County. We are looking for drivers that are interested in long term stable positions within our company. We are a small family owned business that has a vested interest in it's employees, customers and communities that we serve.

We are willing to train a driver with no experience but they must have a CDL and a Medical Card already. Once they are employed by us, we will pay for subsequent DOT physicals as they come due.

Due to the nature of our business, we provide 24hr/7day emergency services. We don't always have a standard work week. A driver may be called in to work at any time depending on the nature of the emergency. This is rare but it can happen.

Our "normal" work week is Monday thru Friday 7:00 -5:30, giving any driver that wants overtime the opportunity to work 50 hours a week. Overtime rates are paid after 40 hrs. However, most drivers finish after 8 hrs each day with a 40 hr week.

Drivers are asked to work 1 Weekend every 5 weeks or so. The weekend shift is usually 4 hrs on Saturday and 4 hrs on Sunday.
During "Grape Harvest Season" we will run a 2nd shift that consists of a driver starting later in the day and working 8 hrs into the evening. (Late September into October) Again, some drivers like to take turns on this late shift.

This is a truck driving position but due to the type of the business, we are more closely related to the service related industry. We may have the day's activities/route/runs planned out at 7 am but one phone call from a customer and the entire day's line up has to be reorganized. Drivers need to be flexible. Our goal is to provide excellent customer service and that usually means frequent adjustments to the schedules.

We are looking for mature, responsible and dependable drivers that want to work. Being on time and present, when scheduled to work, is critical. As a waste hauling business, we have timelines and deadlines at landfills and waste facilities that have to be met.
