Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to be part of our seasonal team on the Small Business Team in the Bonadio Group's Syracuse.

Responsibilities

Prepare tax returns for a variety of small business clients from individual to partnership to corporations.
Work on issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of current tax trends.
Adhere to the highest degree of professional standards and strict client confidentiality.
Handle and manage multiple priorities, and deliver projects and engagements on time, within budget and to the client's satisfaction.
Deliver quality client service (internal staff/external clients) and value while establishing and maintaining strong client relationships.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications
Minimum 4 years of experience in tax preparation
Excellent time management skills, including planning, organizing, and prioritizing
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel and Word
Must have experience with debits and credits
proficient in QuickBooks is a most
Computer proficiency and effectively applying technology tools in assigned areas
Exceptional customer service skills
Preferred Qualifications
Recent experience working in public accounting
Proficiency in ProSystem FX tax software or similar
Self-starter with the ability to handle and manage multiple priorities
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Hours Of Operation:
Our office hours are from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
Our summer hours are from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Friday
We pride ourselves on our flexibility; however the ability to work additional hours will be needed at peak times
