THE ROLE

As part of our Conversion Crew for Empower FCU Amphitheater at Lakeview, you will be responsible for the maintenance, upkeep, and preparation for events at the venue. This is a seasonal, part-time, event-based position that will begin May 2024 and end October 2024 with the possible extension of position to The Oncenter for the Fall/Winter season.

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • Participate in all aspects of the conversion process in preparation for events; duties may include setting up and tearing down portable chairs, removable seats, bike racks, other furnishings, and equipment.

  • Perform various duties to ensure the day-to-day operations of the facility are met; these include, but are not limited to, loading/unloading trucks, transporting trash and waste to proper disposal area, and replenishing supplies.

  • Perform repairs and maintenance tasks such as painting, patching, etc.

  • Assist with custodial duties and post-show cleaning when required.

  • Operate equipment such as, but not limited to, vacuum cleaner, trash compactor, floor scrubber, leaf blower, and golf carts.

  • Report irregularities, discrepancies, safety concerns, damage concerns, or loss of property promptly to Supervisor.

  • Maintain predictable and reliable attendance.

  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma, or GED

  • At least 6 months related work experience.

  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.

SKILLS YOU’LL NEED

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Exceptional hospitality and customer service skills, service standards, guest relations and etiquette.

  • Ability to make independent and good judgment decisions within proper policy and procedures.

  • Desire to work as a team.

  • Mature judgement and professionalism in handling all matters.

PHYSICAL ABILITIES

  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.

  • Must have the physical ability to maneuver around the venue, at times walking and/or standing for 8-10 hours or greater, climbing stairs, lifting and carrying 50 lbs+, and occasional sitting.
