Job Title: Forklift Operator / Order Selector

Job Description

We are looking for a motivated and reliable individual to join our team as a Forklift Operator / Order Selector. This position requires a blend of operating forklifts and selecting orders, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency. This role is physically demanding and requires the ability to lift heavy items regularly.

Responsibilities

• Select stock to fill customer orders

• Read order requirements and shelf locations

• Ensure order accuracy while meeting productivity goals

• Build and prepare pallets for shipping

• Safely operate equipment required to pick stock from shelves

• Work with team members and supervisors to ensure coordination of work

• Perform additional job duties as assigned

Essential Skills

• 6 months of sitdown/standup forklift experience

• Minimum 6 months of order selecting experience

• Ability to lift a minimum of 50-100 lbs

• Reliable transportation (not on busline)

• Steel toed boots

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED

• Experience with material handling

• Experience with pallet jack

• Experience with shipping and receiving

• Experience with RF scanner

• Experience with order picking

• Experience with shrink wrapping

Work Environment

Our facility specializes in distributing engines and transmissions, focusing on Ford transmission, engines, and diesel components. The work schedule is Monday to Friday from 7am to 3:30pm with a 30-minute lunch break. The warehouse is heated but not air-conditioned; fans are used during summer months and bay doors are opened for ventilation. Steel toed boots are required but not provided.

This is a Contract position based out of Syracuse, New York.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
