Trinity Health Garage Attendant in Syracuse, New York

Description:Part Time

20 hours a week - Between the hours of 9:30am - 6:30pm. The schedule includes a weekend & holiday rotation

POSITION TITLE: Garage Attendant

POSITION SUMMARY:

Performs daily garage functions such as: assists visitors with parking and information, retrieves tickets upon exiting, operates cash register and performs general cleanup and maintenance of the garage. Performs other duties as assigned to assist in achieving overall division and hospital goals. Safety and regulatory compliance is a condition of employment. May be required to work other shifts as well as rotating schedules and overtime.

EDUCATION, TRAINING, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:

High school graduate or equivalent. Experience strongly preferred.

Participates in orientation and continuing education and updates and maintains knowledge and skills related to specific areas of expertise.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND HAZARDS:

Outdoor Setting – Exposure Class II – exposure to unpleasant physical conditions, including but not limited to high/low temperatures and general outdoor seasonal weather conditions.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Light work: may work long and irregular hours, standing, walking and sitting.

WORK CONTACT GROUP:

All services, employees, medical staff, patients, visitors, vendors, various regulatory and professional agencies.

Coordinator of Services or Manager

  • Assists visitors with parking information.

  • Retrieves tickets upon exiting.

  • Performs general cleanup and maintenance of the garage.
