Position Summary:

The centralized recruiting and HR intern is responsible for assistance with the staffing function of a long term care facility.

Responsibilities:

The intern will learn effective communication skills by working with our Corporate Office leadership, Administration and other respective members of leadership

  • Screen employment applications.

  • Arranging/conduct interviews.

  • Completing reference checks.

  • Make hiring decisions based on references, background screening and interviews.

  • Accurately completing regular reports regarding recruitment/staffing performance.

  • Monitor recruitment needs within area of responsibility.

  • Analyzing hiring trends within area of responsibility.

  • On boarding new hires and processing new hire paperwork

Job requirements:

Willing to work three-five days per week, Monday – Friday at Van Duyn Center for Rehabilitation & Nursing

Demonstrated expertise with MS office suite application, especially Microsoft Excel

Minimum Requirements

Education Requirements:

Enrolled as a student earning a bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or other related major.

Details:

2-3 day work week (starting time may vary); start date is flexible- can be during candidate's spring semester or summer break
