Ramboll US Corporation Internship - Project Engineer/Construction Manager in Syracuse, New York

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. No sponsorship is available for this position. Ramboll is accepting applications for the Summer 2023 internship program at our office located in Syracuse, NY. Each participant will be assigned a mentor who will guide them through project assignments. The program will provide internship participants with the opportunity to gain experience working in one or more practice areas. Our goal is to afford our interns experience with a variety of projects during the summer program to broaden their understanding an experience within their field of interest. Tasks and Responsibilities The Assistant Project Engineer/Construction Manager will be engaged with a project team or the pre-construction services group. This position will support on-going projects in the field or the development of project required documents such as estimates, procurement plans, bid packages, daily construction logs and other required reporting documents. Meet daily with the team you are supporting to understand required work tasks Assist with take-offs for estimates (from project drawings) Develop bid packages for equipment or services as required for the project. Contact vendors and subcontractors to gauge interest in participating in a bid event and receive contact information from them. Coordinate with Construction Managers and document the required daily information Oversee subcontractors to verify installations are in accordance with project documentation Your starting point for constant growth From the moment you join Ramboll, we will support your personal and professional development so that you grow with the company. For this role, we believe your starting point is: Candidates should be working toward a B.S or M.S degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Civil Engineering or Construction management. Candidates with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above are strongly preferred. Candidates with the completion of 4 college semesters (rising Junior status) are strongly preferred. Required Skills Excellent verbal and written communication Excellent organization and time management Ability to work independently and in a team setting Candidate must be able to evaluate field conditions to assess if work areas have changed such that if unsafe conditions are encountered he or she can make that assessment and communicate that to the workers and the Project Team.
