C&S Engineers Landscape Architecture Intern in Syracuse, New York
Description
The C&S Companies’ Internship Program is designed to engage college students in the practical application of a major technical study and to familiarize them with the interactions and requirements of the A/E industry. Internships are designed to introduce and build essential hands-on skills that differ from those attained in the academic arena, and help to enhance the transition from student to professional. Interns are assigned duties that will provide a broad, well-rounded learning experience within their chosen discipline. Internship opportunities are available at most C&S locations.
Landscape Architecture Intern
C&S is currently seeking a Landscape Architecture Intern for our Summer Internship Program. This internship will be under the direction of a licensed landscape architect.
Responsibilities include:
Assist in development of conceptual site plans and preliminary landscape design.
Assist in researching, compiling, and analyzing a wide variety of data
Assist staff with a variety of projects and/or field assignments
Assist with drafting and design tasks in AutoCAD
Perform site design calculations, code research, and site analysis for current projects.
Assist staff with renderings and proposal graphics.
Qualifications:
Ability to learn in a fast-paced and multi-tasking environment.
Willingness to take on challenges and work independently
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Enrolled and pursuing a degree in Landscape Architecture, with at least 2 years of completed coursework
Knowledge of AutoCAD, Photoshop, Sketchup, and GIS is preferred, but not required
