Main Function:
With supervision, maintain the cleanliness, safety and repair of Agency owned and/or operated facilities.
Duties:
- Minor Maintenance, Upkeep & Repairs
Residential Sites
Conducts regular maintenance walk throughs with Program Management
Maintain communication with appropriate staff
Trouble shoot problems
Make needed repairs
Schedule outside professionals as needed with Supervisor approval
Monitor completion of work
Court Street Office Sites (as directed by Supervisor)

Monitor completion of work
- Exterior Care/Maintenance (could be a contract service)
Snow plowing/shoveling/salting
Landscape care (e.g. periodic pruning, debris removal)
Monitor/maintain exterior lighting
- Office Space (may be delegated, etc.)
Move furniture as directed by Supervisor
Painting as directed by Supervisor
- Special Projects
Assist with special events such as Agency Anniversary, Summer Bash, etc.
Office moves, new furniture, move boxes and packages as needed
- Back up to Facilities Director
Respond to emergencies as directed by Associate Executive Director of Quality Enhancement
- Performs other duties as requested.
Scope of Responsibility:
With minimal supervision, maintain properties owned or leased by the Agency in a safe and attractive state of repair and cleanliness. Comply with applicable regulation, Agency policies, procedures and budget allocations. Results are reviewed in long-range terms and could have significant financial or safety consequences.
Education & Experience
BOCES/trade school graduate or equivalent practical experience. Must be able to perform standard maintenance duties. Five years experience in maintenance or building trades. Keep current with continuing education as needed.
Conditions of Employment:
Must have a valid NYS Driver License in accordance with the Agency Vehicle and Driving policy for use of Agency vehicle. Must be able to lift 75 pounds. Must have no restrictions for exposure to paint or cleansers. Must be flexible to meet needs of the agency (early morning, late evening, weekends). Must participate in successful database checks through the HHS Office of Inspector General, Excluded Parties List System, New York Office of Medicaid Inspector General and Specially Designated Nationals.
