SRC Software Quality Engineer Internship in Syracuse, New York

Position Description:

SRC, Inc. is currently seeking a software quality engineer intern for the summer of 2020 with knowledge of the software lifecycle to collaborate with all functions of SRC to ensure that external and internal quality requirements for programs and work products are understood and applied.Responsibilities

Work side-by-side with quality and software engineers to learn the various software development methodologies
Assist with review of software engineering releases including software problem reports, software version documents, and software test documentation
Support the development of software metrics to provide data for process measurement
Support internal auditing of software programs to ensure compliance with internal procedures

Position Requirements:

Completion of two years of college and current enrollment in an academic program focused in computer science, computer engineering or software engineering
A minimum grade point average of 3.3 (most recent transcripts are required with application - unofficial transcripts are acceptable)
Experience programming in one or more of the following languages: C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with great attention to detail
Security Clearance Requirements
Must be a U.S. citizen. Applicants selected will be subject to a background verification and drug screen.
