Syracuse University STUDENT EMPLOYMENT - Graduate Facilitator in Syracuse, New York
University College is seeking graduate students to act as facilitators and escorts for a group of Fulbright students coming to the English Language Institute this summer for a pre-academic experience in preparation for their graduate studies at various institutions. The students will receive academic research skill preparation in the mornings, and have a series of lectures in the afternoons on a variety of socio-economic, cultural and political topics. The facilitators will be required to attend the presentations and then lead discussion groups or structured workshops to give the students an opportunity to practice their English skills and to further topic development. Additionally, some students will need assistance with Blackboard, pronunciation, and computer skills. Facilitators will also be needed as escorts for night and weekend activities, both on and off campus. Facilitators will also work with Fulbright students so that they can understand the demands of graduate work.
