Job Title: Warehouse Worker

Job Description

Warehouse Operations is responsible for performing and controlling a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of products. This may include functions such as receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, and delivery. The role is also responsible for the efficient flow of products from the point of receipt from vendors to the shipment of products to a variety of internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with picking orders and loading carts with empty totes

• Sorting and separating cooler packs (green and orange) into different crates

• Pushing freezer racks into the freezer for a short duration

• Discarding any debris found in the totes

• Replacing broken or leaking cooler packs and heat sealing them in plastic bags

• Performing other duties in different departments as needed, such as picking, sorting, and unloading

Essential Skills

• 3-6 months of warehouse experience

• Ability to lift 15 lbs

• Ability to stand, bend, and reach for 8 hours

• Ability to read, write, and speak English

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Own steel-toed shoes

• High School Diploma or GED

• Experience with warehouse packing, sorting, loading, unloading, picking, RF scanner, and general production

• Ability to work efficiently and accurately

Work Environment

The work environment is temperature controlled between 68 - 72 degrees. The facility falls under the pharmaceutical segment, dealing with over-the-counter drugs and medical supplies for hospitals and doctor offices. The distribution center ships to all of New York State and northern Pennsylvania. The working hours are Monday to Friday, from 7 am to 3:30 pm (or until the job is complete). It is important to note that tardiness is not acceptable.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Syracuse, New York.

The pay range for this position is $17.90 - $17.90
