Regeneron Pharmaceuticals Summer 2022 Law Intern - Intellectual Property (Tarrytown, NY Region) in Tarrytown, New York

Project Descriptions

Position 1: The position is in the Intellectual Property (IP) department in Tarrytown, NY. The intern will assist members of the IP Portfolio Development Team on strategic reviews of the Company Pipeline programs. Advanced degree in Biology or related discipline preferred. Strong legal and analytical skills as well as solid biotechnology background

Position 2: This position is in the Intellectual Property Group of the Law Department in Tarrytown, NY. The student will assist in reviewing results of a landscape search, which will ultimately contribute to developing a legal strategy for managing and implementing a global portfolio in a developing technical field. Undergraduate degree in a STEM related function is preferred but not required.

Necessary Technical Skills

  • Pursuing a JD degree, preference to students who will have completed their 1st year of law school.

  • Strong legal and analytical skills as well as solid biotechnology background

  • Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel, Word, various search engines (e.g., Pubmed and Google)

  • Excellent inter‐personal communication and ability to communicate with collaborators from a diverse background.

To be considered for this opportunity, you must be enrolled in, or accepted to, an academic program pursuing a Law degree (and be returning to school the semester following the internship). A cumulative GPA of 3.0 is preferred. We want someone who is able to commit to 40 hours per week for a minimum of 10 weeks from the end of May/ June through the beginning of August. Demonstrated leadership in areas such as campus activities, clubs, sports, current or previous work, or the community is also preferred.
