Citizens Bank Tax Advisor - Wealth Management in Tarrytown, New York


The Senior Tax Lead is responsible for supporting the Partner in charge on client engagement s by managing and supervising the work flow including timely assignment, preparation, review and adherence to deadlines for a Financial Services firm located in Tarrytown, NY.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

  • Prepare complex federal and multi-state income tax returns for individuals (including gift and estate taxes), partnerships, trusts and foundations.

  • Review complex tax returns and work with the preparer make necessary adjustments. Communicate tax related issues directly with managing partners and clients.

  • Interact with clients to provide innovative business tax planning, consulting, and compliance services in a timely and effective manner.

  • Supervise and help drive the success of engagements.

  • Attend professional development and continuing education sessions on a regular basis.

  • Prepare financial statements and complete cash reconciliations.

  • Assist with special accounting projects and administrative duties, as needed.

  • Organize training for less experienced staff.

  • Analyze and respond to inquiries from the IRS and state tax authorities.

  • Research various tax matters and advise/plan accordingly.


  • Excellent communication skills

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook

  • Experience with Prosystem Fx Tax, BNA Tax Planner, Creative Solutions Accounting, and QuickBooks a PLUS.

  • Detail oriented with ability to multi-task.

  • Must be available to work evenings and weekends during busy seasons.

  • Able to research complex issues among the changing tax landscape with either CCH Intelliconnect or Thomson Reuters Checkpoint research platforms

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of tax and investment information


  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required

  • MST in Tax, Enrolled Agent Designation and/or CPA Required

  • Minimum 5 years prior accounting/tax experience required

    Hours and Work Schedule:

    Hours per Week: 40 Hours

    Work Schedule: Monday - Friday
