The Salvation Army of the Syracuse Area Senior Program Coordinator in Tonawanda, New York

Overview

SCOPE AND PURPOSE OF POSITION:Ensure that the Golden Age Program is properly running.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Perform daily or seasonal activities with Seniors

  • Register Seniors for the weekly meals

  • Receive meals prepared by Erie County program for Seniors to be served for lunch

  • Prepare all details for the Senior lunch meal

  • Serve meals to Seniors as per schedule

  • Keep and submit to Officer all statistics of activities

  • Receipt all dues or program services fee collected and submit to CO

  • Report In-Kind donations received to the Emergency Services Coordinator for proper recording

  • Attend to other duties assigned by the Corps Officer

Qualifications

SPECIAL SKILLS, CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

• Work requires a High School/GED.• Willingness to work with senior population• Excellent communications skills (verbal and written)• Ability to multitask and reprioritize activities due to frequent interruptions.
