Commission on Economic Opportunity Facilities Technician in Troy, New York

Location: Troy, NY Salary: $18.00/hour Benefits: Yes The Commission on Economic Opportunity (CEO) is seeking a full-time Facilities Technician to perform routine maintenance tasks and general cleaning at multiple agency locations throughout Rensselaer County. This position will be responsible for a variety of carpentry, plumbing, electrical, heating/cooling and custodial functions, potentially at different sites each day and will be responsible for seasonal grounds keeping. It will also be responsible to maintain agency equipment such as servicing lawn mowers, snow blowers, as well as battery maintenance on equipment. Qualifications: High school education or equivalent and a minimum of three to five years on-the-job building construction experience or equivalent academic training. Strong mechanical aptitudes and a working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems. Excellent trouble shooting and diagnostic skills. Ability to multi-task and work independently. Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule. Must be computer literate. Able to drive multiple types of agency vehicles with a valid and clean NYS Driver?s License.
