What you will do:

The Financial Analyst II is an upper level accounting position who will be the Lead position within the Senior Living Communities Finance Team. Team work, problem-solving, project management and collaboration with external groups is key. Responsibilities include preparation and completion of various monthly financial and statistical reporting for both internal and external audiences. The Analyst will prepare journal entries, reconciliations, banking transactions, financial statements and other items as needed to assist in the month-end close, act as a key contact for annual financial statement audits, assist with Medicaid and Medicare reporting including cost reports, budgeting and forecasting projects. We are seeking someone that embraces change and seeks out opportunities to improve procedures and create efficiencies. The Financial Analyst II will report to the Director of Finance.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of month end revenue analysis

  • Lead position within the

  • Preparation and analysis of various general ledger reconciliations

  • Preparation of monthly AR valuation and net patient revenue

  • Provide support with the annual audit process

  • Assist in preparation and analysis of Medicare/Medicaid Cost Reports

  • Account reconciliations, statistical gathering and reporting, cost reports, annual audits, and budgeting.

  • Oversight of housing AR process, including resident accounting systems, monthly billing and collection cycle, partnership with community leadership to address revenue cycle concerns, and analysis.

What you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.

  • Minimum of 5 years in healthcare finance setting is preferred.

  • Strong proficiency with MS Office applications especially Excel

  • Strong accounting, organizational, and communication skills

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize projects/workflow.

  • Ability to develop and assist in implementing process improvements.
